Тверской археологический сборник

В данный выпуск сборника вошли представленные для публикации материалы 18-го (24–28 марта 2015 г.), 19-го (22–26 марта 2016 г.) и 20-го (21–25 марта 2017 г.) заседаний научно-методического семинара с международным участием «Тверская земля и сопредельные территории в древности», действующего на базе Тверского государственного объединённого музея с 1994 года. Хронологически выпуск охватывает периоды от верхнего палеолита до раннего Средневековья, территориально – тундровую, лесную и лесостепную зоны Восточной Европы и шире – Северную Евразию. В научный оборот вводятся новые материалы полевых и камеральных, в т.ч. экспериментальных, изысканий, как сугубо археологических, так и произведённых на стыке с другими науками, а также разработки теоретического характера. В статьях отражены современные методы исследований и предлагаются новые методики изучения археологических объектов. Публикуются предметы материальной и духовной культуры разных эпох. Ряд статей носит проблемный и дискуссионный характер, часть материалов была переработана авторами с учётом исследований последних лет. В целом сборник имеет непосредственное отношение к изучению древностей Тверской земли и её связей с другими территориями.

The present issue of the Collection consists of the materials submitted for publication by the participants of the 18^th (March 24 – March 28, 2015), the 19^th (March 22 – March 26, 2016) and the 20^th (March 21 – March 25, 2017) sessions of the Scientific and Methodic Seminar with international membership «Tver Land and the Neighbouring Territories in Ancient Times», which has been working on the base of Tver State United Museum since 1994. Chronologically the issue covers periods from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Early Middle Ages, as well as the territories of the tundra, wood and wood-steppe zones of Eastern Europe and wider, Northern Eurasia. New materials gained from the field and laboratory studies (including experimental) are published. Along with purely archaeological investigations the complex studies made on the junction of sciences as well as theoretical researches are introduced into scientific circulation. The articles reflect modern methods of research and suggest new approaches to the study of archaeological objects. Artifacts connected with material and spiritual culture of various epochs are presented. Several articles put forward various problems and are disputable. Some materials have been partly revised by the authors who have taken into account recent researches.

Основу данного сборника составляют материалы V Тверской археологической конференции, проходившей 26–30 марта 2013 года в г. Твери, организованной Тверским государственным объединённым музеем при участии Тверского научно-исследовательского историко-археологического и реставрационного центра, а также 16-го (27–31 марта 2012 г.) и 17-го (25–29 марта 2014 г.) заседаний научно-методического семинара «Тверская земля и сопредельные территории в древности», действующего на базе Тверского государственного объединённого музея с 1994 года. В первый том 10-го выпуска Тверского археологического сборника вошли доклады семинара и заключительного заседания и секции «Эпоха первобытности – Раннее Средневековье», работавшей в рамках конференции. Хронологически он охватывает периоды от позднего палеолита до раннего железного века. Представленные к публикации результаты исследований, доложенные на пленарном и заключительном заседаниях, заседаниях секций «Эпоха первобытности – Раннее Средневековье» и «Ранний железный век – Новейшее время» конференции и, частично, на 16-м, 17-м и других заседаниях семинара, издаются во втором томе выпуска (Тверь, 2015). В научный оборот вводятся новые материалы полевых и камеральных изысканий, как непосредственно археологических, так и произведённых на стыке с другими науками, а также разработки экспериментального и теоретического характера. В статьях отражены современные методы исследований и предлагаются новые методики изучения археологических объектов. Публикуются предметы материальной и духовной культуры разных эпох. Ряд статей носит проблемный и дискуссионный характер. В целом сборник имеет непосредственное отношение к изучению древностей Тверской земли и её связей с другими территориями.

The results of studies reported at the common and final meetings, and at the meetings of sections «The Primitive Epoch – the Early Middle Ages» and «The Early Iron Age – The New Times» of the Conference and, partly, at the 16th, 17th and other meetings of the seminar, are to be printed in the 2nd volume of the issue (Tver, 2015). New data gained from the field and laboratory studies, both purely archaeological and interdisciplinary, as well as experimental and theoretical researches are introduced into scientific circulation. The articles reflect contemporary methods of research and suggest new principles of studying archaeological objects. Artifacts of material and spiritual culture of various epochs are presented. Several articles put forward various problems and are disputable. The collection as a whole directly relates to the study of antiquities of the Tver land and its connections with other territories.

The basis of this collection is the materials of the 6^th (March 21-25, 2000) and 7^th (March 20-24, 2001) meetings of the scientific seminar "Tver Land and adjacent territories in antiquity", operating on the basis of the Tver State United Museum since 1994. The book also includes several articles on reports made at the State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg, April 17, 2002) at a meeting dedicated to the opening of the exhibition "Man and the Beast (monuments of ancient art of the North of Eurasia)". Chronologically, the collection covers the periods from the Paleolithic to the Early Middle Ages, the territorial forest and forest-steppe zones of Eastern Europe and Northern Europe. New materials of field and desk surveys, both purely archaeological and produced at the junction with other sciences, as well as theoretical developments are being introduced into scientific circulation. The articles reflect modern research methods and propose new methods for studying archaeological sites. The objects of material and spiritual culture of different eras are published. A number of articles are problematic and controversial in nature. In general, the collection is directly related to the study of the antiquities of the Tver land and its connections with other territories.

The basis of this collection is the materials of the II Tver Archaeological Conference, held on March 23-27, 1999 in Tver, organized by the Tver State United Museum with the participation of the Tver Scientific Research Historical, Archaeological and Restoration Center and financial support from the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation, grant no. AAV 833), as well as the 5^th meeting scientific seminar "Tver land and adjacent territories in ancient times" (March 24-28, 1998), operating on the basis of the Tver State United Museum since 1994. The first volume of the 4^th issue of the Tver Archaeological Collection includes reports from the seminar and the section "The Stone Age and the Bronze Age", which worked within the framework of the conference. В сборнике представлены главным образом доклады 3-го и 4-го заседаний научного семинара "Тверская земля и сопредельные территории в древности", проходивших 26-28 марта 1996 г. и 24-27 марта 1997 г. в Тверском государственном объединенном музее. Основными обсуждавшимися темами были "Взаимодействие культур в эпоху первобытности (миграции и трансформации, контакты и пр.)" и "Вопросы адаптации человеческого сообщества в древности в различных ее проявлениях". Хронологически сборник охватывает периоды от финального палеолита до раннего средневековья. В научный оборот вводятся новые материалы полевых и камеральных исследований, как чисто археологических, так и произведенных на стыке с другими науками: палеоэкологией, почвоведением, гидронимией ит.п., а также некоторые теоретические разработки. В статьях отражены современные методы и предлагаются новые методики изучения археологических объектов. Публикуются предметы материальной и духовной культуры разных эпох. Ряд статей носит проблемный характер, не все идеи и разработки, предлагаемые некоторыми исследователями, получили поддержку семинара. The collection mainly consists of reports from the third and fourth sessions of the scientific seminar "Tver Land and Adjacent Territories in Ancient Times", which was held on March 26–28, 1996, and March 24–27, 1997, at the Tver State United Museum of Local History. The main themes discussed were "Interaction between cultures in the prehistoric era (migration and transformations, contact, etc.)" and "Problems of human society's adaptation to antiquity through its different manifestations." Chronologically, the collection covers the period from the final Palaeolithic to the early Middle Ages. New materials from field and desk research have been included in scientific circulation, including both purely archaeological materials and those produced in collaboration with other disciplines, such as paleoecology and soil science. This includes hydronymy (the study of water names) among other topics. Some theoretical developments are also included. The articles reflect the use of modern methods and suggest new approaches to studying archaeological sites. Objects of both material and spiritual cultures from different eras have been published.A number of the articles in the collection are problematic in some respects. Not all of the ideas and suggestions proposed by the researchers were supported by the seminar. On the whole, the collection relates directly to the study of ancient artifacts from the Tver region and its connection with other areas.

В сборнике представлены доклады 1 и 2-го заседаний научного семинара "Тверская земля и сопредельные территории в древности", проходивших 14-16 марта 1994 г. и 15-18 марта 1995 г. в Тверском государственном объединенном музее. The collection includes reports from the first and second sessions of the scientific seminar "Tver Land and Adjacent Territories in Ancient Times," held on March 14-16, 1994, and March 15-18, 1995, at the Tver State United Museum. Chronologically, the collection spans the periods from the Final Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. Most articles focus on the Stone Age and Early Metal Period. New materials from field and desk research, both purely archaeological and those produced in conjunction with other fields such as geography, hydronymy, biology, medicine, geochemistry, and petrography, are introduced into the scientific community. Objects from material and spiritual cultures of different eras are featured. A number of articles present problematic issues. Overall, the collection directly relates to the study of antiquities in the Tver region and its connection with other territories.

В сборнике представлены доклады 1 Тверской археологической конференции, проходившей 10-13 марта 1993 г. и посвященной главным образом результатам археологических исследований в г. Твери и в Тверской области. Хронологически сборник охватывает периоды от финального палеолита до средневековья. В научный оборот вводятся новые материалы раскопок и разведок, архитектурно-археологических раоот, историко-географических, исторических и историографических изысканий, данные палинологического, химического и технологического анализов коллекций. Публикуются предметы материальной культуры разных эпох.

The collection presents the proceedings of the 1^st Tver Archaeological Conference, which was held on March 10-13, 1993, and was mainly devoted to the results of archaeological research in the city of Tver and its surroundings. Chronologically, the collection covers periods from the end of the Paleolithic period to the Middle Ages. New materials from excavations, architectural and historical surveys, palynological and chemical analyses, and technological studies are being introduced into the scientific community. Objects from various periods in material culture are also published.
